Description

This project presents a title animation created for TEDx titled Untangling Wonder. The animation explores the idea of curiosity and discovery by visually revealing the title through motion and transformation. Using dynamic movement and layered visual elements, the piece gradually “untangles” the typography to symbolize the process of questioning, learning, and uncovering new ideas. The animation is designed to play before each speaker, setting the tone for the event and introducing the theme of the talks. The goal was to create a visually engaging opening that captures the spirit of TEDx, innovation, exploration, and the power of ideas.

Objectives

Design a short motion graphic that communicates the theme Untangling Wonder through animation and typography. The project focuses on timing, movement, and visual pacing to create a compelling introduction suitable for a conference or talk setting while maintaining the recognizable TEDx visual tone.

The animation was created for a sold-out TEDx event with over 700 in-person attendees and will also be broadcast online as part of the recorded talks. Previous TEDx events from this organization have accumulated over 1 million views on YouTube, expanding the potential reach of the piece to a global audience.
