This animation is a custom animated title sequence for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory that reimagines the film’s whimsical yet mysterious tone through hand-drawn vector illustrations and dynamic motion design. The project explores how color, symbolism, and movement work together to introduce characters and establish narrative atmosphere.
Objectives
The goal of this project was to translate a well-known film into a cohesive motion design system while strengthening my technical skills in After Effects. I focused on creating fluid, personality-driven animation through intentional timing and easing, maintaining crisp vector quality with continuous rasterization, and using color and symbolism to enhance storytelling through motion.
